what is the use of EAD when you have a valid visa
my EAD decision is done due to ongoing GC application. my question is the validity of EAD will be there till my L1 visa. What is the use of EAD when I have a working visa??

With EAD your employment opportunities opens up as you can use it to find another job. With L visa you are confined within the company. EAD is valid for 2 years only

EAD to my knowledge allows one to work for any employer anywhere in USA without any other sponsorship or paperwork. GC EAD is generally valid for two years and one can apply for extension as long as the I-485 is pending. But if one uses the EAD for employment, I guess the L1 or H1 status will be lost so one would need the Advanced parole document to enter USA again if one is traveling out of USA.
