I’m talking based on my own experience, you might be under investigation, that’s what exactly happened to me, they sent 2 immigration officers to my place at 6am and went to my ex wife family to investigate. so just be careful

Possibly, yes!.. could even be a possibility they have people's files sitting there taking dust. 🙄. @DD when did they send the officers, and what's the status now?

mine was in 2018 and they finally found out that my ex wife was cheating on me because of work I moved to a different state so when they came in they found another man in my bed that’s how I found out that my ex was cheating on me, they sent a letter with every details and denied my case so I got the lawyer and we filed Vawa and get approved this year.

@DD.. man WTF!!.. Sorry to hear that, that's hella messed up. So how long after interview did they show up at the house?

2 years after my interview, I called them many time the only thing they were telling me is your case is under review and will let you know when a decision is made.

@DD.. smh.. that's really messed up. 2 years of waiting?. smh.. I don't know what they are doing to people but having people waiting that long is ridiculous.

@Millicent yea 2 damn years of waiting, on that case you and your spouse need to be more careful on what you guys are doing because they probably tried to find a small mistake from you. May God help us in this journey.

@DD I have no problem with them. its their wait time that's really frustrating and makes no sense.. if you sense something is wrong then do your investigations immediately instead of stringing people along and putting people in depression.. smh.. @ Millicent, yes hun, hope we come out of this misery soon. smh!

@kay this MY story and what I went through I didn’t want to share it to put you in depression, you asked some questions and I explained my experience, they have their own way to handle stuff that might be different than my case the only thing I said just be more careful if they don’t say anything they probably do something in the back. hopefully your case be more easy than mine. have a good day

@millicent: are they renewing your EAD during this period of waiting?

@DD.. please don't misinterpret what I'm saying. I'm glad you shared your story, and it helps us to know other possibilities that might be taking place. But when I stated the word depression, it wasn't directing off you and your experience my dear. I was simply stating it for others I've seen on here that are frustrated with their lengthy timeline vs others who have just started and have quickly gone through, it's not fair to you, myself Millicent and others. That's what I'm saying. But hopefully we are able to pull through thus, Because it's getting ridiculous.

@mitch yes I have my work permit and is going to be 2 times renewal

yeah of course, the lawyer asked me to write a letter how what she did put me emotionally down, I did and I put down all proofs as marriage certificate, pictures of us, her birth certificate, her SSN, bills, the lease and some bank statements that show how I took care of everything in the house.

@DD how were they able to get your wife’s family address? did you put it on the form or they found it? Did my 2nd interview since June and no response n now I and my husband are having issues and his family doesn’t like me, I am just concerned that in such a case they might say horrible stuffs

@JB I don’t know exactly how they got it but I guess with her SSN, birth certificate and dmv information. don’t worry if your husband family doesn’t like you as long as they know you as his wife that’s enough. don’t stress yourself, remain calm and pray 🙏🏽. Best of luck 🤞🏽
