my experience is that online application is faster to submit. I don’t think processing time would change. but it’s easier to submit online, and if you forget to submit a document, you can log into your account anytime and submit it. I honestly submitted everything as if I was applying for the green card. I submitted bank statements, electricity bills, leases, taxes, everything except pictures. Good luck!
