@Bee kaila embassy of nairobi are not working well very slow service . have you ever inquiry them

my PD 16th/12/2021 & was DQed 16th/12/2022, no RFEs & of category IR5 Ugandan but at Nairobi consulate but also nothing yet.

Hello love, I’m now 18 months after DQ and nothing. They want you to give up but don’t. This is the most stressful thing I have ever went through but we have to continue to hold on.. the US is dealing with a migrant crisis as well but I honestly have lost hope in Nairobi embassy in regards to helping to reunite families. This obviously isn’t their aim and there’s no more monies to collect for these visa categories.

what happened to your case?

After every few days I check this post to see if y’all made new comments but unfortunately there isn’t any positive developments. I watched a clip of the US Ambassador to Kenya with Jef Koinage in which she mentioned that cases will be processed faster going forward. She cited lack of human resource causing the current extended delays. if y’all had any good news such as faster case processings or folks changing to a different consulate that has worked for them, please share it here. Are we still looking at the 15-18 months wait times? Did the lawyer who was suing the embassy help in any way for the people who retained his services? We gotta explore our options to save our marriages

@Said Mohamed you have spoken wisely. This delays has cause us depression. This is not right at all. we need to reunite with our loved ones. I have done research and nothing positive to share.

Tracy M did you get your IL or does anyone have an update

@steven kasiko nothing yet.. I’ve been checking everywhere to see if anyone has gotten an IL.. last I heard was someone got a spousal interview scheduled back in March 2024.. they’ve been prioritizing DV Employment visas.. meanwhile denying Kenyans tourist visas and keeping the money… hopefully they will start back issuing immigrant visas soon.

But when you look at the monthly visa issuance you see that all categories are issued visas every month

@steven kasiko we received our IL today and I was DQd Nov 15, 2022.. looking at your DQ date you may receive your IL next month or Nov.. hold on.. it’s going to happen regardless. It took us 22 months of waiting…
