What are next steps?
I know it’s still very early as VAWA only got approved today but I want to know what to expect next. How long after VAWA approval typically do they approve i485 please?
I applied for both concurrently in March 2021 and I was married to a US citizen.

@Omar Penuela thank you so much for sharing your timeline. we are definitely very similar. so they automatically send a new combo card after they approve vawa? even if I didn’t put a renewal for it? and my case moved to finger prints have been applied this week so hopefully they send for medical soon and we get interview in the new year. So grateful this process is about to be over. almost 4 years wow alhamdulilah

@Omar Penuela okay that make sense. and for them to send only work permit, I think that’s because they will be sending green card soon too. I thought about that, I already started looking for civil surgeons, I will make appointment Monday morning. Medicals last 1 year and it comes sealed so I can definitely do it now and just wait for that RFE for the medical. thank you again for the extensive explanation. I needed this
