What are Expected timelines for EAD renewal ?
Hi All-
While my GC is in process, GC interviews done pd Nov 2022 India, my EAD expires in May 2025 and need to file for renewal - am planning to file in Dec 2024. How long does the renewal usually take ? Please share your experience/ guidance so that Incan plan accordingly.- Thanks in advance

hey @RR Y my PD is Nov 2022 India as well. I had applied for a combo card and it took approx 100 days

my L1A expires in May 2025.Me and dependents applied in Texas center and got EAD approved in 2 days and that too a weekend. This was back in May though. of course depends from case to case.

I applied for my EAD renewal end of July 2024 and got it in hand within a months time. My husband got his in two months.

@GC long in my case the advance parole is valid for another 4 years - can I request for combo card? Was your case renewal as well ?

@RR Y my EAD was expiring in 2025, but I still applied for combo card and got it for 5 years

Hi @GC long my lawyer said that we can apply for the EAD 6 months prior to its expiry. So is it possible to to apply for it much before along with request for a combo card ? Thanks

@RR Y the company lawyers handled the application so I remember filling out the I765 and G28 forms.

@RR Y the forms have to be filed together with a mention of combo card. your lawyer can guide you better. I did it as it’s less hassle for renewing AP and EAD separately.
