weird situation!
my gc was approved and it is on its way. but i have a travel schedulled out of country and I was planning to use my EAD.
my GC wont be here on time, can I still use my EAD to enter the US?

EAD is work authorization. AP or advance parole is used to get in the country. now if you have a combo card you can use it. but it’s on the officer to decide whether to let you in or not. if it’s not a combo card and you are mistaking the EAD for AP please don’t use it. stay inside the country.
IMHO wait for the green card. most of the airlines allow one date change for free or at the most for a nominal charge. postpone it. not worth taking this big a risk.
especially if you were out of status at the time of adjudication. I don’t know.

@hamid R have someone get it and ship it to you via registered mail like DHL or FedEx that way you’ll have it with you when you come back

on your EAD, USCIS wrote it down that the EAD card is not valid for reentry to U.S.
