It's a glitch. The notification that you have to check your account is when say "we take action.... And need your attention"

mine says : We have taken an action on your case Sign in to your account to view your case status I always received this when I have a change or and update or notice . I check and all my notifications are the same

It might be something that happened some days ago. Only when you have "need your attention" is because the uscis really update your case.

is already in Denver FO when that happened my case change from NBC to field office .was 3 months ago
