@Smile smile so desperate for citizenship. The earliest date you can apply is Feb 14, 2027 if your green has a resident start date of 5/14/2022. On the other hand, You can place your focus on bettering yourself while enjoying the protection you got through asylum.

@Anastasiia Varavina just to risk your life for citizenship. People are getting so desperate these days. But why risk your life over citizenship ? it just defies logic. if you have to join the military, please join for the right reasons, and not just for the purpose of getting citizenship. It’s even considered fraud if they ever found out you just got in to acquire citizenship. That same citizenship can be removed at anytime, especially if discharged dishonorably. Anyway, good luck if you want to serve for the right reasons !!!!

@Smile smile You have to count five years from the date you are admitted into the US. You should see that date on your green card. If it says resident since 5/14/2022; then, you have to count 5 years onwards. But if your green card was approved on 5/14/2022 then you must have a resident start date of 5/14/2021 since the card is always backdated for asylees to make up the 1 year you wait before becoming eligible to adjust status. when can asylee beneficiary apply for green card who came from overseas through I-730 process?? do they still have to wait a year like principal asylee
