@Bolanle Therein lies your problem, my brother

@stanley Due to the prevalence of fictitious and fake divorce decrees from Nigeria. Any case with a divorce decree from Nigeria is seen as fraudulent and given extra scrutiny which results in extended processing times.

There’s what is called the visa reciprocity list. it is a country by country list of the types of documents US immigration will accept from different countries. it ranges from divorce decrees to birth and death certificates. if your divorce decree does not comply with that list then you are only wasting your time because your case will be delayed and denied if you do not provide the right document that they need.

Something else people do here is to withdraw their application, file for divorce again but in the US this time and reapply.

@stanley fraud can be detected at anytime in the immigration process. Citizenship can be revoked if with time it is discovered it shouldn’t have been granted in the first place. Basically what I am saying is make sure that everything you submit to immigration is genuine.
