@A L my j1 waiver was still pending at the time I had my interview in dec 2023. I was sent an rfe after the interview for the waiver and other evidence. That was submitted Jan 2024 and I am still here almost 2 years after with a pending i485 and i130.

@s l oh wow!! my GC is approved since august 2024 but my waiver still pending and never got an RFE, what did they ask you?

@A L I didn’t know that was possible for the green to be approved with a pending waiver. They requested evidence to proof bonafide marriage and also a separate rfe for the waiver.

oh yeah. I was surprised when they approved the GC without waiver but i contacted uscis couple days ago and they said my waiver form needs a separate approv 😑 how long did they approve yours?

@ it took about 8 months for approval.
