waiting for NVC to approve husband
The wait is so draining. My husband (who is overseas and I’m in the US) got approved by USCIS in the beginning of September 2023. We got a welcome letter from NVC, paid all fees and uploaded all the civil documents on 10/25/2023. Anyone know about how much longer we will wait for them to approve these documents? and after approving them, how much longer until they send us an interview date? If you’ve recently been approved by NVC, please help! The wait is draining… it’s been in my head so much lately. just want him here already!

as far as i know, nvc accepts documents every 14 days. so this part isn’t too long. the interview is a wait issue. where is your husband?

my documents was accepted in just under 2 weeks and then their interview isn’t scheduled till December 20th

@Jay E he is in Montenegro but the interview would be in Belgrade, Serbia. that’s the main embassy they have. I’m hoping he gets approved for the documents by NVC soon.

@Jay E we didn’t get approved yet from NVC, so we are still waiting to get approved for all the documents and then after they approve it, they’ll send us the interview letter

@Jay E we got the NVC welcome letter September 17, paid all fees on October 6, and submitted all civil documents on October 25. haven’t gotten an approval yet.

@Jay E also when I go to check the status of our case on NVC, it says “action required: submit all documents”… but we did submit all documents on October 25th. is this because they just haven’t looked at them yet?

the NVC usually takes 7-10 business days to receive the documents that you sent

@L C they usually update the papers they recieved so rn they are at october 10 so next week they should work on your papers

@L C sorry for the late response. Yes it was recently. I don’t know about the interview. It depends on your country. There are some information about that on visa journey but it is not an exact science.
