I would suggest premium processing, if your sponsor is ok with it

@kay r my employer is okay with PP. But i am worried if that would increase the chances of RFE

@Dibya M, we are in the same situation. In fact, I suspect that your one of the cases that am tracking its progress alongside mine. If it makes you feel better, I just PPed my application having waited for 10.5 months. Quite a pity but I just have to go this route. About RFE, not sure the theory that once someone does a PP, the chance of RFE is increased is correct. I have colleagues who PPed and didnt get RFE. So, go for it and worry less about RFE. If it comes, address it and get done with your petition. Goodluck to us!

@Dibya M I would say chances of RFE are low for EB1-2 if you have all your supporting evidence and lawyers did a good job. I think it’s more a worry for EB1-1.

@Dibya M chances are very low for rfe. max rfe they ask in eb1b is either tax documents or job offer from company. if your PD is current I would do PP. good luck

@Dibya M, good move. Funny enough, my premium processing is still on going.....No correspondence. I wonder what USCIS is doing as it is almost the 15th day. WoW! I can't believe this.

@Dibya M what is going on is simple: the number of applicants has been going up exponentially every quarter. the situation is exacerbated by the fact that most people go for premium right at the start, which means it is possible to overwhelm the limited number of immigration officers to the extent where they stop working on non premium cases altogether just to deal with premium (and the easier to adjudicate EB2/3 cases). that's why the estimated time to approval went from 4.5 months last August to 10 months now for 1B at NSC. this is likely to continue to increase. as it happens, even my own immigration legal support's response time has gotten longer - too many new cases for them also! bad time to be an aspiring immigrant

And just checked today, USCIS has increased the processing time to now 10.5 months! 😭

@Dibya M, my PP was approved yesterday.....on the 15th day!

@Dibya M, not at all. PhD in engineering, work at DOE Lab, 30+ publications/presentations with 280+ citations. Journal reviewer (~10 journals) and severed as judges, reviewer, hiring committee at multiple levels.Won international and national awards. I submitted in Sept 2023.....pity!
