W4 after EAD
I currently got EAD card and have a job offer. I know I have to fill a w4 form to start paying taxes. My question is, can I file married filing jointly? I was told I had to fill W4 out as single which I don’t agree with. Has anyone gotten a job with EAD while still waiting for green card? any advice would be greatly appreciated.

That really doesn’t matter if you fill your W4 as a single, this is just for your tax deduction rate from your paycheck, if you fill it as a single you will be taxed as a higher rate, but of course you can filled your taxes as a married filling jointly even though your w4 is as a single.

Also you can put in your w4, Married but tax as a higher rate. Some companies give you this option too! @EANR 13
