Visited USCIS Today Just to Pray π
Today I did something different.
I drove to my local USCIS office, not because I had an appointment, and not because I expected anyone to speak with me. I simply wanted to pray.
Standing outside the building, I thanked God for the blessings I already have. I thanked Him for waking me up this morning, for my health, for my children, for the ability to work and provide for my family, and for giving me the strength to keep going through this long immigration journey.
Then I prayed for my case. I asked God that wherever my file isβon a desk, in a stack, or in a computer systemβthat the right person would find it. I prayed that whoever reviews my case would do so with fairness, wisdom, and compassion. I asked God to open the door for my approval if it is His will.
This journey has been long, stressful, and emotional at times, but today reminded me to focus on gratitude instead of fear.
To everyone still waiting, don't lose hope.
May the right person review your case. May they see it clearly and fairly, and may you receive good news at the right time. Amen. πβ€οΈ πΊπΈβ¨ ππΉ π―π²

@a d I respect your opinion, but I don't think I need help because I chose to pray.
Faith is a part of my life. Every day, people believe in things they cannot see. We sit on an airplane and trust a pilot we have never met. We trust doctors, teachers, and complete strangers. That trust is a form of faith.
For me, going to the USCIS building and praying was no different. I believe in God, and I believe He can do things that seem impossible. Sometimes He opens doors when there is no visible path. Sometimes He touches hearts in ways we cannot understand.
And honestly, if someone checks Lawfully every day, hoping for an update, that is also faith. It's hope. It's believing that good news can come tomorrow even when there is no sign of it today.
So I don't see a reason to tell someone they need help because they have faith. We all place our faith somewhere.
Maybe my prayer won't make sense to everyone, and that's okay. But it gave me peace, hope, and strength.
I hope one day you will remember this post. And I hope that by then I will have my green card in hand. If that day comes, I'll gladly tag you under my approval post and remind you what faith can do.

You took the risk coming here in the first place. You knew the risks and you knew the fact that itβs not a fast process unless you are lucky. You knew you wouldnβt see your family back home at least for 5 years. Begging at the uscis office is not going to change anything. If faith was to change something it would have changed something else for you in the past so you would not have to leave your family and travel thousands of miles in the first place. Iβm sorry to tell you that your prayers are not going to change anything here. Everything depends on humans like you and me here.
that greencard better be greenJun 24, 2026
@a d I understand your point, and you're right that human beings make decisions. USCIS officers are people, judges are people, and employers are people.
But my faith has never been that God will magically print a green card. My faith is that God can guide circumstances, open doors, and place the right people in our path at the right time.
You say faith didn't change anything because I had to leave my country. I see it differently. Faith is what helped me survive leaving my country. Faith is what helped me build a life, raise my children, keep working, and keep moving forward during difficult years.
We may never agree on this, and that's okay. You trust only what you can see. I respect that. I trust both what I can see and what I cannot.
If my case is approved tomorrow, I will thank the officer who reviewed it and I will thank God. Those two things are not mutually exclusive.
I wish you the best, and I genuinely hope good things come your way as well.

@that greencard better be green, keep on praying, keep on believing. It was that woman's faith that made her whole, after she spent ALL she had during her years of illness. It was her faith that moved her to touch the hem of His garment AND she was made whole. It was the Faith of that crippled man's friends who brought him to Jesus for healing. Continue to move by FAITH and not by sight. Continue to lift your faith even IF no one else does. Isaiah 60:22 ππ½
