Visited Louisiana OMV to renew my license with I-797 and 48-month extension. Officer allowed only a 6-month renewal, unaware of I-751 processing time. Seeking advice from group members on this issue.

I had a 2 year EAD and North Carolina gave me a 8 year license. no green card approved yet. that seems weird

I think the officer got it wrong, I am in fl and I brought my 485 receipt they gave me a 7 mo extension, when I got my 485 approved they gave me an eight yr validate DL, I think you need to try for another person

different states with different Laws in MA I renewed my drivers license yearly with my expired greed card along side my extension. so its varies .

It should not matter from one state to another when it come to a green card!! The law says that with your expired Green card and 48 extension, you are a permanent resident can work and travel without a problem and if you were to give your employer your 48 months extension would not ask you to do job verification (I-9) every year. Demand to talk to a supervisor. My wife in Indiana, with 2 year conditional green card and have 6 years validity on her DL.
