visa interview: additional documentation requested
I had my visa interview at the US Embassy, the consul questioned my illegal work during my studies in the US. Though my lawyer had told me they will overlook that as long as I kept my legal status and paid taxes. I told the consul I also OPT after the graduation. They kept my passport and requested additional documentation such as OPT, my status in the US. I have provided them all my I20s and my work authorization during OPT. But really not confident they would approve visa, since they questioned my illegal work. anyone had similar situation? #eb2 #consularprocessing

Is it for immigrant visa? If it's less than 6 months of illegal work, should be forgiven.

@adam smith just consuls demeanor was not good towards my working while on student visa
Charlie SCOct 14, 2024
@Ali J They might not like if you worked illegally, but legally they have to approve if you are admissible.

i have a business now grossing almost 5 million till now, they have no question regarding my business and how much I am contributing to the economy. just my illegall work they were interested in. thats bothering me @Charlie SC
Charlie SCOct 14, 2024
@Ali J I understand that they might get into trouble if they approve someone who isn't admissible. If your violation is less than 6 months, be easy. Provide all evidence that shows that's the case and you should be good.

not yet. They refused visa under section INA 212(a)(6)(C)(i) which fraud and misrepresentation, bug I ended up having it lifted by my lawyer. He contacted Legalnet that I have had any case of fraud. Now my visa is under administrative processing. still waiting
