Too much backlog in ISL because of 2 reason. If your case is IR then you have to wait little but if you falls under "F" category then waiting time is forever !!

@Sana R If it's 2023 then you have to wait at least 18 to 20 months for IL

try to go saudia Arabia, Qatar, or oman. Islamabad is a long long wait.

and most Pakistanis are put into administrative processing after interview. this can also take months which sucks.

@Jenny k can you explain the how can you change the embassy and what are the requirements ?

need work visa or student visa, you contact NVC through the public inquiry form online. you ask them to change the embassy and attach the visa or residency if you have.
