very disappointing

when is your pd

mine is december 29 2022! literally 29 days away.

I don’t understand how uscis works. my PD is Feb 15 2023. I have submitted AOS July 10, 2024. I have approved EAD but no update on my I-485 except finger print has been applied. but I see that next month visa bulletin, has moved to May. I thought they would have worked on those of us with earlier priority date

@Ibeh Omodolor no unfortunately you are not current yet. you are final action, which is still not current. final action is still 12/1/2022

@Ibeh Omodolor impossible to actually do first in first out. because it's not one officer or office that has all the application. so one office is not going to wait on next office. They adjudicate what ever case on their desk that is current. Also remember you also have consular processing case to consider. Also some cases even though may have an earlier PD may require an interview for that specific individual. Hence until that individual is actually scheduled for an interview it's possible that someone with a later PD will get approved because maybe their interview was waived. situation where a case may get a RFE for birth certificate etc which may delayed a current PD from being approved. There are several other factors why they can't always work of the earlier PD which makes the system chaotic. Another example are perms that has earlier PD but was audited hence hasn't filled their I-140 yet. The officers can't wait on those cases they are going to adjudicate other cases at USCIS because they have a deadline for use all the green cards by the end of the fiscal end or lose it. There are alots of other reasons why the system is chaotic and first in first out doesn't 100% works. For example two persons with the same PD with different processing center or embassy , one get their green card in 3 months and the other 12-18 months yep this happens.

Case is EB2 ROW and my PD is Feb 15/2023. I have approved 1-140 and EAD

@n zk how do you mean that I am not current? visa bulletin for employment based green card EB2 priority date if May 2023 right ? my priority date if Feb 15/2023.

depending on which neighborhood/ county you live in, you can figure out who is your member of congress. then submit a request on their website! @Ibeh Omodolor
