I’m done with the prediction for the next month visa, every time I got frustrated with it, so I’m looking forward for October 🤷🏻‍♂️

15k people are waiting for green card as of December 2022. so, I guess that in October it will be cover a significant number

@shiblee mir How did you get to know about the number waiting for greencard?

@shiblee mir the 15k are for those whose pd aren’t current in Dec 2022 (pd date June 2020). we don’t know the number of cases pending before June 2020.

mine is sept 2020 we are in the line (hope so)

@jjw A thanks for clarifying. but are you sure about this in the report? there was no retrogression in eb-2 category but some numbers were there ( assuming that current means the number should be zero) . in August it was 19k so no one supposed to get gc but numbers came down

@Eric Le we don’t really know. the speed with which the DoS moved the priority date from June 2020 to Jan 2020 doesn’t really sound well to me. my pd is Jan 2021 but I think you’re going to be lucky in October

@u tran USCIS published the total number of applicants with i140,i1360 and some other forms approved that are waiting for a visa number. At this time, rhe pd was June 2020. this means that those who have approved I140 in the EB3 unskilled category with a priority date after June 1st, 2020 was around 15K (more than the annual 10k limit). This tells me that the PD is unlikely to become current in October. I really just hope I am wrong about this and I don’t mean to scare anyone. all that I am saying is that we need to curb our enthusiasm and plan for October 2024 (those with 2021 pd). I just hope that I am wrong

@u tran I know it will move up but how far it’s going to be remains unknown and that’s the hardest part. I just wish that USCIS and the Department of State were more forthcoming with the data so we could all make informed decisions about our immigration journeys and be less anxious. I hope we all get our cards soon so we can live great

@X X i think I have seen a couple of your replies saying it will be current, do you have any data to share? by the numbers i looked the backlog is anywhere between 30k-40k people waiting. knowing each fiscal is only up to 10k. i hope you are seeing something i couldn’t see!

Let's urge USCIS to resume releasing the "EB 485 pending report" (btw they released for 10 years but stopped in 2018), which can tell us the number of people waiting in line before our PD and estimate the wait time.
