Hello House. I need advise. My I-360 was approved September 2022 at Vermont center and I went for my I-485 interview 2023 July and till now no response. I called uscis today using info-pass and she told me my case has been moved back to Vermont Center.
I want to find out if anyone or you know of someone who has experienced such before. Is it a usual or unusual situation?
you kind advise will help. thanks

This is not good. Do they ask you anything about your marriage? Or maybe they have previous issue with I-130/i-485 that you filed ? This means they had written to Vermont and probably submitted additional info to Vermont Center about your previous case

my I-485 was not approved. they asked for additional evidence which I have submitted before… like birth certificate ( they never received it when I submitted it as response to RFE) and divorce certificate.

I never had a previous interview because it was canceled because Covid was declared during that period before the interview. so the only interview I went for was the Vawa interview. so the officer requested for more documents during my I-485 interview after my I-360 has been approved.

@O O The wait is frustrating. Hoping that you get approved pretty soon. What questions did they ask on your interview and what documents did they request during your interview?
O ONov 17, 2024
@ I’m Blessed. They just asked questions about my marriage, why didn’t I have an interview during my marriage period and I told them it was canceled due to Covid. actually my interview was scheduled and immediately Covid happened and it was canceled. The additional documents were Birth certificate from my home country, marriage certificate and Medicals.

@O O, I can understand your frustration and concern! I was there and I pray for you not to wait too long before approval. I went through hell in my case which makes me more knowledgeable now. My I 360 was approved for four years and one month before they finally approved me. I got so frustrated and depressed but like I said, worry less and focus more on positive thoughts, God will come through for you surely because He came through for me.

@lala lala thank you for your kind words. Same God who came through for you will surely do same for me. I will come back here to testify of His faithfulness after my approval.

@O O this is exactly what I’ve been trying to observe.. it looks like they are mostly calling people who have not had any sort of interview at all during their application for interview now. I’m not too sure tho but I’m just observing.

will they still ask for first marriage certificate
O ONov 22, 2024
@c m if you’re about to submit your documents you must include all your previous marriage divorce certificates not your previous marriage certificate. Your current marriage certificate is what you will submit because that the current marriage .
