#Hi, I want to share my experience with my VAWA (I-360) case and see if anyone else has had a similar situation:
• I filed my I-360 on November 15, 2024, with all my evidence (testimonies, documents, videos, protection order). The filing fee was waived.
• In January 2025, I received a Prima Facie determination valid until June 17, 2026, which allowed me to access benefits and obtain EAD (work permit) and Advance Parole (travel permit).
• My I-485 was transferred to another office on February 20, 2025, ready to be activated once my I-360 is approved.
• On February 24, 2026, USCIS received my additional correspondence and notified me that they are reviewing it. No RFE was issued.
I am now waiting for the final decision from USCIS on my I-360. Normally, I would expect the approval in the coming months before my Prima Facie expires.
Has anyone had a similar case, and how was your experience receiving the final decision?

I mean I don’t think so , because today I received On February 24, 2026, we received your correspondence for Form I-360, Petition for Amerasian, Widow(er), or Special Immigrant, Receipt Number. We are reviewing your correspondence and will send you a notice if we need something from you. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

at’s unfortunate, but according to my timeline and everything, they could already give me a decision since my I-485 is already at the field office. I am just waiting for the approval of the I-360, since they haven’t asked me for an RFE, and I already have Advance Parole approved.”

the I-360 approval wait time is 46.5 month since you submitted. it is increasing one month every month, the wait time. that is part of the inicial process. uscis is resolving now thr cases from Feb March April 2022. long wait🥲

If you want to believe you’re gonna get a decision soon then believe it. But trust me you won’t. Just because they don’t ask for an RFE doesn’t mean you’re gonna get approved.
