Your advice is good but you don't need it when you are working if you take the benefit when you are working you're not going to get your green card I have prima facie for one year and I'm making up to $60,000 in a year so why should I need the benefit

@ladyb is your friend a VAWA applicant.. it doesn't really matter if she is or not anyway the point is u will not be in any form of problem once the immigration people gave you the green light to apply for public assistance as an abuse victim . Your lawyer will and should have told u the same thing it's all over the immigration website and on Google there is no public charge rule on vawa applicants with a prima facie.. but I understand your concern. and we know u mean well.. thanks anyway.. 💪💕

pls I got prima facia when I put in my application which I did in December 1. I collected prima facia in some months after. its expired already. do I need to re apply bcos another one wasn't send to me pls advice

@karen I don't know what state u in but u have to find a CUNY college of your choice not sure if they still taking applications for this semester u might can try for January semester. when u find a colleges get there number and call them hence go to their website and fill out the application it should be 75$ fee. while filling out the application u will upload a copy of your Prima facie u will also let them know u trying to get financial aid. Biden has put in place whether some one has Prima facie or not where they can get financial aid and go to college ask questions some colleges still not doing walk INS interview etc due to covid restrictions still but u can call them they are nice. if u did any high school or college GED whether here or back home your country get those transcripts emailed to the college u choose when filling out the application so work on getting everything together because u will need the transcript if u have.. I am looking to study nursing or child card they start u with English maths etc.. you can do this.. anything else text me let me know . so first google and get some numbers to call . if u don't have a social security number they usually just assign u one.. !! best wishes 💪💕

@bola do u have a lawyer?? the lawyer would tell u that after the 12 month prima facie expired they usually send u 6 months prima facie increments.. u should be getting one soon.. speak to your lawyer as I am not sure.. hope all goes well for u .

@bussy yes u can apply for college. yes check out your neighborhood CUNY colleges call them let's gooooooo . u might have missed this semester but next semester should be fine in January! you usually get to pick three colleges of choice when filling out the application and then u get accepted at either. get your high school diploma GED if u did any colleges get those transcript together..

also guys u can go do your GED they have classes all over. 💕💕💕

its not all CUNY colleges that accepts Vawa. I know this for a fact as i have helped many. most community colleges in NY dont recognize vawa but you can use it in Lehman College. i used the vawa benefits during my undergraduate. i even got refund credited to my account because i also secured Dream Act full scholarship. Check with the school financial dept of your choice and let them know that you have VAWA prima facie. They will let you know it will be accepted or not but if you re in NY you can apply to Lehman they will accept it as i graduated from there 3years ago.

@lovely Dominique different state different rules. not too sure . so sorry. ask them about the dream act full scholarship that @bj told us about in his text. hope all goes well I don't really know too too much as I am just starting college this semester.

sometimes they will tell you what they want when u speak to them tell them the facts of what u know ! about each program Biden has put in place etc. !! Dream act. all that.
