Do you have any pictures, police reports, text meaaages, hospital records etc those will help sounds like you experienced physical abuse

@Nina Sean make sure the letters from your neighbors are notarized and the psychological eval should be done by a psychologist who deals with vawa. they have the exact wording USCIS looks for. Best of luck!

Thank you, got it. My case is mainly psychological, emotional abuse rahter than physical. @blessed & favored Do you know by chance a psychologist in NY? I initially sent psychological evaluation but looks like that wasnt strong enough.

i would say rather than a physiological evaluation if you've been to therapy add or counseling add those. emotional and mental abuse can be hard to prove but I referenced an article I found online and gave examples with screenshots of text messages, pictures if I had any. for example public humiliation, out infront of our apartment he shouted insults at me etc.. tell the background story ( I added aftermath texts of him apologizing) etc. withholding affection, because I did something he had told me not to do he ignored me for a whole day.( I added texts apologizing and he complaining)

@Nina Sean I got the same rfe and my Vawa was approved .all you need 1. resend your psychology evaluation 2. write a self declaration on what happened 3. get a notorized letter from family and friends explaining how they witnessed the abused that’s all don’t be scared

@Nina Sean if you have a lawyer ask them to recommend a psychologist that has worked with them before or one who has vawa experience, make sure they have vawa experience so they can use the exact words USCIS looks for, also include any kind of help you sort be it you talked to your religious leader, counselor or anyone who can tell your story have them write those down and get them notarized, also include police reports to show good moral conduct and if you have volunteered in the community have those institutions write a letter about your good moral conduct preferably on their i stitutionnletterhead (they don’t have to be notarized) then tell your story. Don’t be scared a lot of people get such RFEs and get approvals. Best of luck

@Nina Sean What @karoon boundurant said is right. Nothing to be scared about. You don’t need police report or another evaluation. Draft a detailed personal statement, giving good reason why you didn’t get police involve, get it notorized and find few people to help you with affidavit, that support your personal statement.
