i have not received prima facie yet or RFE it’s been 9 months ? VAWA case USCIS received in March 4th later I received letter saying that they used my old biometrics I never received my work permit (EAD) but never received prima facie and RFE.. do I have to worry about anything , is it normal to not receive prima facie or RFE it’s been 9 months .appreciated.Thank you

sent mine March 15th and I received PF and no rfe was requested though I still haven’t gotten my ead so I did the expedite request via my lawyer since November 19th and nothing yet…no update that I even sent anything

Early rfe show deficiencies in some part of your filing and it is required to grant your prima facie. You need to respond to it very well otherwise, you will receive another one which will include everything in the first one and others for i360

@PP I not yet my lawyer didn’t receive anything probably this coming week because the deadline to receive it is December 21

@PPI As I said early rfe simply mean some deficiencies in your evidence to support your case. To get Prima face, uscis will take a quick glance at your document and send you rfe if they notice any short fall. they will then take their time for properly review your case. Some of those that get early rfe before PF usually get the 2nd one.

@Never give up, it doesn't take long. Just go on the FBI website and search for background check, choose online process. It will ask you for where you live so that it could give you the nearest post office to go for your fingerprints. I got my results the same day after taking my prints.

@Never give up, my memory is so bad, but i think it was $10 paid on the FBI website and i think the for fingerprints was $40... but i know for sure i did not pay more than $50 for everything. And you don't need an appointment for prints, you just walk in with your confirmation email.

I just opened the app, I hope you’ve been able to get it sorted, I used fbi report too (but I did my print myself with ink and mailed it to them, took 4days from the day they received it to email me the report) and I used witness statement to prove good faith marriage

@one only my RFE was good moral character and good marriage faith :I responded with 4 police clearance,FBI report (no crime),statements for friends about my good moral (6 friends),my own statement,bank statements(joint account me with my ex ),our daughter birth certificate,picture before we got married together,pictures of wedding,conversation between me and her family,wedding preparation,k1 approval letter etc

@one only, oh wow, yes that was fast. They received my package in December 6, and so far i heard nothing not even re-using my biometrics. Am sure your lawyer knows what he's doing. Every case is different! 🙏🏾

@Never give up, no I don't have any experience of that. Am hoping for them to re-use my biometrics. Did they have your prints on file by any chance? but again, this office is so unpredictable, you can never understand how they work 😩

@one only, yes lawyers usually hold back now because USCIS always still request for more evidence when your case is actually being actively reviewed i.e closer to decision time. (usually same thing as the early RFE and maybe more) That is when you want to give them all you’ve got.

@oneonly it depends on where your application is deficient, it’s not always GMC
