Vawa Relocation to a different state
hi everyone! I have a vawa case PD date March 2022, filed in NY by probono. I’m relocating to texas. do you think I should notify them or I can just leave it at NY since my letters goes to my attorney’s office anyways. what do you guys think. anyone with a similar experience

ask you your lawyer!
my lawyer is probing and told me if I moved she will be be avale to present me. because she work for the state where I am, if you are moving for a short period like 3months or so don’t say anything because all will come to her or his office. or you are moving forever then you might consider talk to your lawyer.
I would suggest to stay where you are or just be between both state like when your lawyer contact you

I have the same issue.I’m relocating to Texas and I filled In new York with my lawyer In Tennessee.I think the best thing is to contact the lawyer so whatever she’s say would be final.
