wow, I’ve never had this experience but did the rfe state only to explain why it was edited or did they same more stuff than that? sorry you’re going through this. must be nerve racking. honestly it was an heartless move from your ex wife’s end

@remaining hopeful only that, it was done by my X and i never saw it and I sent that to USCIS

write your affidavit addressing the RFE explaining what happened and how it happened in truth and honesty God will see you through.

what state are you in? i think if you can find posts by Kanye East people were dropping different lawyers from different states and maybe that can help

honestly? that’s fraud. unfortunately hard case since they realized. I don’t think your explanation will help a lot. Take a lawyer!!!

@mathew Vawa , Do an affidavit and explain explicitly what happened truthfully and pray that God intervene bcos it’s perjury and it’s extremely serious

@mathew Vawa the best you can do is explain why you did, try to be honest about it think about it, they could’ve denied your VAWA on the spot, but they still decided to issue a RFE instead, you still have a shot to come clean. don’t do this without an experienced attorney. Would you be okay with telling us what kind of document this is?

@Romeo riv @AUG 22 the problem is, USCIS after finding fraud, doesn’t want to believe any explanation. They send RFE first, because of VAWA policy that states: „before deny an applicant an officer should issue NOID and ask for additional evidence or explanation”. If that’s lease contract, I think there is no chance they will believe any explanations

@mathew Vawa everything is possible with God if you believe. I have seen people who edited lease they just put them on pending for so many years and kept renewing ead. I have also witnessed some who got their gc revoked because of that. this is a very hard case to prove, but I wish you all the best

@roborto g USCIS verify all the documents that's why cases take too long.. sometimes they even call the leasing office to verify. they can even do a home visit

@lili rose USCIS doesn’t verify all the documents, they do this only if there is something suspicious or document is different from template document they have.
