I applied back in 2020 and got my receipt after 2 or 3 weeks.

@s s do u also have a advance parole with your Ead? how soon after receipt did u get your Ead? hopefully u get some good news soon .💪🙏 I vawa as well and waiting..did u use a lawyer as well?

@thank god I applied in October 1st got receipt October 13th 2021 so mines took like 2weeks.

@krish90krish I see some other people getting approved before the “24 months” timeline. It makes me wonder how they do the whole process and why some are faster than others. I believe that there is a lot to do with the case and paperwork or just luck. I am in Nursing School. As soon as I finish school next year, I will need my green card. Have you beeb approved yet or still waiting?

@nikki lubin - My first EAD came as a combo, but it’s been expired since January. I’ve been using the automatically extension they gave to all of the people waiting on the renewal to continue to work. I am in health care, expedited my case, but no response yet. I paid $5000 for my lawyer; Money well spent because she is very good and answers me every time I have a question. I haven’t received any RFEs yet. I filed for VAWA in Oct of 2020.

As of now, I have received 3 prima facies. The first one was valid for 1 year and the other 2 for 6 months.

I too am in Nursing school I finish in Aug, and is worried about the outcome. I also files in Oct 2020 received 2 prima facie, no RFE and no EAD. I pray everyday and leave in God's hands

I also have an established and respected Lawyer on the case paid a tidy sum too.

That’s crazy. I got my EAD in April of last year. The only way I am able to be in school is because of the prima facie helping me with financial aid, otherwise I wouldn’t be able to pay for tuition. Are you paying out of pocket or also getting financial aid? I work in the hospital 3x12 as a Nurse Tech.

@Nik Nelly I am just at prima facie, did biometrics and now a biometrics bypass for form 1-485 sent a week ago. so no EAD yet.. and no Rfes either.

@Nik Nelly No EAD oh my u should at least got Ead based on what I hear from others. so sorry 😔 . question please what nursing school did u apply to and what course r u doing. under nursing? I applied at Queens college still waiting for them to write or email me back. I also sent the prima facie I got.

s s No I'm not paying from pocket neither am I getting financial aid. I worked for a lady and she died and her sons sent me to school a gift of over $60,000US

Yes I live everyday thanking him for showing up for me in a miraculous way. I've cried many tears with what aive had to go through married and it didn't work out after almost 3 years and then the man wrote USCIS and told them it was a marriage of convenience and so I had to walk away with a heavy heart after marrying him without he being a citizen and then after working and doing all that plus he was abusive. It was a lot some of it I can't mentioned here but in spite of everything God never left me and he always send people to help everytime I run into a road block.

You need to be accepted in school first, apply for financial aid as a non resident but elegible non resident I think.

Then the school is going to call you and you might need to educate them about the prima facie

Does one have to wait until the Prima Facie expires before they review your case. or is there incidences where someone have an existing Prima Facie and receive approval?
