You have an interview for VAWA or for VAWA i485?

@Bakhtiyor M I don’t think they will ask about specific days, I heard that they never ask about the abuses. but it’s good know everything that u put in your personal statement.

@Tom Bom psychology statement? I think you are mixing it up. Do you mean personal statement? Psychology statement is prepared by a professional, there’s no how you will know what is there…at least in my case they used some professional terminologies. If you say personal statement, I agree with you but psychology statement…no. It’s just like getting a doctors report after examining you, how will you know everything they write in their report. They assess and give report, same as psychology. they ask you questions and based on your answers they draft their report. it’s not for us to know what they have in there. uscis officers can figure it out, that’s what they are trained to do

@sho ahm from other’s experience on this app, they emphasized the need to know all the answers you have in you I485 form. the yes/no part. you can also refresh your memory about where and how you met your spouse to the time you got married. some info about spouse like date of birth, place of birth etc. Now go get the green card🤛All the best

@sho ahm Go with a lawyer. Most of the time in the i485 interview, they will just ask - Yes or No questions - from the i485 that you already submitted. But the lawyer will police the officer if they ask unrelated questions. I went without a lawyer & now I have a NOID. They asked me all simple questions - all from i485 forms that I had submitted - except two questions about my ‘overstay’ period. I am responding to the NOID right now. My advise to you - Go with a lawyer. Yes they won’t ask anything about the abuse but please make sure you remember all the details you wrote in your VAWA personal statement & your i485 form about residence address history, your current employment, and all the regular things. I would say my interview was super easy, it’s just that I didn’t remember my ‘overstay’ when they asked that and I got an NOID, otherwise I would had been approved already.
