vawa in process and wanna get married
what is the process if I get married(usc) to someone with my Vawa case is still in process?, I applied for vawa in Jan 2021.

once you get married and the Uscis knows that you are married, your vawa petition will be cancelled.

okay so VAWA will be cancelled but what about the (i-485) ?
do I have to apply for that Again?

@mk t You have to redo the whole new process with I-485 if you get married to USC because your new spouse will have to prove financial responsibility and what not.

listen wait until you get some meaningful benefits and then re marry you'll nel qating yours and the USCIS time and you'll have to re do the process in its normal manner

you can get married the moment your VAWA is approved. hang on a little bit more and once you have your VAWA approval you can go ahead and get married. consult with your lawyer too

if your love life is great and genuine, it’s better to remarry than Vawa. I have been waiting since 2021 and I have my wedding coming up in January. Good luck with every decision we make in life.

my hubby is in the Military (Air force) and he wants to marry me too before he retires next year(20years of service) and I have a pending vawa case since Jan 2022
