@Mr Mak unfortunately that’s your lawyers fault. immigration officers do not have jurisdiction to ask about abuse during a green card interview. your lawyer should tell her this.

you had a bad lawyer… sometimes, it’s better to have a good female lawyer. Just in case you get a female interviewer. They know how to tackle each other well. still hope for the best. Forgetting stories of over 5 years is very understandable

VAWA forgives alot of stuff so if I was you I wouldn’t worry since my i360 has been approved so your i485 will surely be approved.

@survivor p @A T Reopening a case for reconsideration after approved is different from REVOKE, an approved i360 can be reopened for consideration which might lead to denial, but it won’t be revoked like they will do a Green card or citizenship if that MAKE ENOUGH SENSE

@Kenn Kenn. There was another guy on here that said his i485 was denied for the same exact reason as listed in this post. He couldn’t remember dates too & his denial letter said ‘numerous inconsistencies’. Mine was denied because I said ‘I did not stay illegally’ but he had the records already & I did overstay by almost a year & half. My denial letter said ‘willful misrepresentation’

@Kanye East Appeal it, don’t file for a new case if “Willful Misrepresentation” was the reason, meaning you withheld information that should have been disclosed. If you appeal and explain that was from your Lawyer or if you have a psychological evaluation based off what you went through to have applied for vawa you could use that as an excuse to say your lawyer omitted some informations and you didn’t get to go through the form yourself to rectify anything on it. Could only be serious if it was denied at the interview itself

If the supervisor agrees with the recommendation to revoke the approval of the self-petition, the service center issues a notice of intent to revoke the approval to the self-petitioner.” Do you think USCiS doesn’t know what they are talking about?

THEY WILL GIVE YOU A CHANCE TO FIGHT IT, unlike i130, you should read about the immigration strength of i360 before thinking it could just be stripped off anyone any how bruh. @survivor p If new evidence is found against you in an approved vawa, all they do first is reopen for consideration, but my bad I thought you were just like you can be stripped off your i360 approval just like they will do citizenship or green card without a chance to prove or fight any evidence found against you. Cuz I know people who’s citizenship and green card has been stripped off and placed on deportation without having the chance to fight anything found against them.

@Kanye East I think the good thing is you don’t have to pay for a new one, but remember to file form i601 as well for section 212 waiver. You will be approved don’t worry, good thing your vawa has been approved you already have a protected status in the US

@Zillionnaire O A waiver is a form filed along with any immigration benefit to allow the USCIS overlook anything that could hinder you from getting the benefit/grant filed for..

@Mr Mak My i360 remains approved. I have not found any cases of i360 being revoked as of now. Usually if it’s a common thing, you will find some information online but I have not seen even once such case yet.

@Mr Mak i had interview in april my interview went same as you lasted for 1:30 hour. officer told me you will have response in 2-4 weeks its been 5 months now. even i have submitted some inquiries throgh congress. but there is no reply from them. let’s hope for good🙏

guys May we not experience revocation . of watsoever, but let me tell you this, it’s only by virtue of birth that nothing can be revoked from you. other than that, you can be striped of citizenship let alone ordinary approval because it’s a process and as well a privilege not your right. whoever is affected now, u still have the opportunity to amend it. that’s why they can reaffirm and also revoke because humans do make errors. selah.

@Mr Mak I'm not sure why your crappy lawyer allowed them to ask you vawa questions. That petition was already approved and they should have been reminded of that. In any case, I hope you won't be penalized for her mistake. The moral of the story though is that, before your interview, go over the forms again and make sure you can answer the same things when asked
