vawa EAD right receipt number but wrong category
hey guys I got my EAD receipts number approved but it’s the right receipt number but they put c9 which is wrong because that receipt number was for my c31 application.. these mistakes are they intentional? what should I do?

@ lord yes but my receipt number is for EAD c31 and they approved that same receipt number but put wrong c09 because the receipt number is for c31

i had the same !! I received my EAD card where is written C-9 but the approval came under receipt C-31… I’m puzzled bc it was on March and no updates after that. still not sure if it is C9 or C31

exactly same situation! I don’t think it is a mistake, I think has a reason they send C9 but approved C31, I just don’t know what it is

when did you file I-360 ?

you can not have a c31 without your vawa being approved… if you submitted i485 with your package you will first get a c09 EAD

@pika boo you cannot receive a receipt number for c31 unless your i-360 is approved, when you filed your i-360 and i-485 concurrently, your i-360 has to be approved for them to start processing the i-485. however you can get a work permit with a pending i-485 … whatever receipt number you received was based on your i-485 (c09) and not your i-360 (c31).

@blessed favored idk where you got that information but it’s simply not true . My receipt says C31 and I am not approved for i-360. Cant discredit what someone is saying when they have proof to support their claim.

@ vee hayce yes I got it in May. applied in dec. I had C31 reciept notice which they approved.

they issued it for 2 years so hopefully it will be finilized by then
