Vawa C31 Validity
I just got my vawa C31 work authorization and i noticed that the validity is for a year… I thought work authorization has been extended to 5years or is the C31 category different from other categories

I got my C31 card for one year ,I think they change validity because they are processing green card from 6months to one year

@reto mont when were you approved??? i was approved just last month and i have a pending 485 which is over 3yrs already…

my lawyer said it is not an error ,USCIS is giving only one year for C31 EAD

I received my c31 January of this year. wow, uscis might changed the validity. Hopefully, they'll release a GC sooner if this is the case.

@Anonyme Ann how do you know they are processing green card from 6 months to one year? so if my vawa approved, my children case will be processed in a year?

@K t i just called uscis agent ,he said he don’t know if they are giving 2 years or one year,he said he looks like it’s not a mistake.He told me to get more information to my lawyer

hey family,I called USCIS today to get information about my I-485,the agent told me my I-485 has been moved from Vermont to NBC and NBC to Vermont for some reviews. is there anyone who has experience with this? Vawa was approved# August 2024

I just got mine and it’s 2 years . I’m here thinking it’s supposed be 5years not knowing some people are getting a year 🤦🏽♀️

@Anonyme Ann yes i did.. the officer doesn’t know about EAD validity but she put in a service request for me. i would get a call from them

it’s not an error,I also got a one year c31 ead card…This is to let you know that you will receive your green card within a year
