@ayo l If it’s administratively closed it means it was denied alongside your family based petition I-130 and it wasn’t set in abeyance. Check if it was denied/ approved as they have to deny or approve it before closing. All you need to do is file another I-485 attaching your Vawa receipt and Vawa approval notice with other required document for I-485 adjustment of status. Also don’t forget to use the current form and attach your medical or it would be denied. Lastly you don’t need to be depressed as you have scaled the major huddle of your case. All you need right now is adjusting your status while you can travel/ work while your adjustment is processing. You have every reason to be happy and not depressed as you are in a better place than other who filed same as you and were denied to start all over again or still awaiting approval.

@bridges 5 thanks so much I appreciate you a lot and God bless for your support, They didn’t denied or Approve it , I applied for work permit under it when my vawa pending and they approved it under pending 1485 , but they said they closed it since 2022.

@ayo l Just file another I-485 rather than waste your time in getting your green card. But like I said use the current form and make sure you do your medical and send it in together. If they reopen the other one while this is processing you can always write to them and withdraw one.

@ ayo I Your lawyer should know better that you can file another one and whichever gets adjudicated first, you can then withdraw the other one. It’s free with your Vawa, so just do it. The only thing you have to pay for is your medical which you must submit together. If you had done it earlier you would have used the previous form which doesn’t require you to submit the medical and whenever they need your medical they will then send you an RFE for it.
