did you applied for I-765 and I-131? I’m March 18 transferred to Vermont, nothing yet..

@Amelia s well to get a ssn you have to apply for the I-765 “ead” petition. your not going to get an ssn with the I-485 because that’s adjustment of status and I see you’re with vawa aswell so that can take up to 40 months…

@j m Well, I requested the I 765 in 2022, but the SSN never arrived. I changed lawyers and he said he requested the I 485, in fact I'm lost, each lawyer says something different.

u have to have an ead to get a SSN. if u did apply for i765 there will be no ssn

@j m that is incorrect- on the i-485 form there’s a question that asks if you want to be issued a SSN or you already have one and if you wish to have it updated(remove condition) once you get your greencard approved.
