@idel Rijo Yes, you can get unemployment so far you have been working for years and qualify. They usually look at the years you’ve worked and pay you based on that. It is not a government program, you have to work for it to earn it not some freebies. You can ask google if unemployment is a public charge. Go for it and stop leaving your hard earned money on the table. THIS IS A FACT. For every pay check you get, a certain portion of it goes to unemployment. However, to qualify, make sure the reason you lose your job isn’t your fault.

@idel Rijo I received it when I lost my job.. Go and apply because that was taken out of your pay EVERY paycheck!

unemployment benefits got nothing to do with it! is your money that you earned and are entitled to don’t listen to people that live their life on fears they will always tell u to be scare

unemployment benefits is not considered as a public benefit, it’s paid for by your previous employer. I asked my lawyer about it when I got laid off last year and he told me I can apply for and I did.
