Utah Online Marriage
Hi,
Has anyone heard about Utah Online Marriage? My partner lives in another country, and we are planning to get married through this service. After getting married, I intend to file for an I-130. My question is: can I file for the I-130 after we get married, or do I need to wait until we meet in person?

You must meet in person to consummate the marriage and provide proof of meeting. If you don't, USCIS will deny the petition.

@Simone O Spot on! Your marriage isn’t valid for the purposes of immigration, if it’s not consummated.

@Rocco Forté what do you mean by consumated

With a proxy marriage, it appears USCIS requires proof of sexual intercourse to have occurred after the marriage. From what I gather, you don't have to prove that, just being physically in each other's presence after the marriage is what they're looking for.

@Sam M No proof of “intercourse” needed but you do need to be physically in the same place afterword. The marriage is legal if performed legally but USCIS will likely give you a hard time. I would not do this. Are you not able to go there or can you both meet in another country that is perhaps between both of you if your partner lives far away.
You can imagine the amount of fraud that takes place with green cards so I it makes sense this type of marriage would not be acceptable for immigration.

Hi,
Someone shared with me early bird discounts for a new tech enabled service which can complete green card and citizenship application in 5 minutes AND offers attorney review also. Feel free to DM me and I can share the details with you.

@Kingsley B I actually don't understand the purpose of doing it when you can't file the I-130 without meeting in person anyways.
