USPS HOLD MAIL
Good Morning folks,
I just want to congratulate each of you who have got their GC or Approved. For those who have not, it's not the end of the world. Wait for couples of weeks and then reapply with this time correcting all mistakes USCIS has flagged. NEVER DISPUTE DENIAL DECISION because you will waist your time, money, and energy. Just reapply.
Secondly, for those who are waiting for their card, there is this option with USPS called " HOLD MAIL" in which USPS will hold ALL your mails for a month like that you will just go yourself to the post office and pick them up as soon as you received notification from Informed Delivery. That will reduce ALL inconvenience from those who deliver driver mails because to tell you the truth, they SUCKS. Their laziness makes others in danger and they don't realize that because you know what?? THEY DON'T CARE. So, to avoid all of the drama, just enroll "Hold Mail" at USPS. I am actually doing that for some years now and don't have issues as from Today. Especially for my important mails.
I hope my advice will be benefic to everyone here and GOOD LUCK on your future endeavors.

@N S when you dispute a denial decision, it will surely be reopen but will go to the same IO and the chance to get approved by the same officer is minimal. Or when you reapply, it will go to a different agent and the probability of your case being approved is big with the new stuff you will add to sustain your case. That's what I was referring to. while disputing, you won't be able to add updates.

@Fun Hud Good luck... everything gonna be fine this time. Just make sure you correct all of the stuff mentioned in your previous Denial Decision to the new one.

why were you refused?
Fun lJun 6, 2023
I got denied because we didn’t give them recent tax return from my joint sponsor

@BAYANO PARKER thank you so much 😊 just 1 more questions I waited over a year before getting denied any idea how long second application will take my i130 is currently actively reviewing for the second time

@Fun Hud The only thing I can say is don't think about it that much because we don't have any control... Just live your life as normal. When they ask you for something, just send them and continue your life. I know one day, you will wake up and the approval notice will be on the documents tab.

@BAYANO PARKER my case denied because I didn’t receive a letter that usics request an RFE. so I want to reapply now instead of re-opening. can I do that if I’m on tourist visa, which is not expired, but I overstayed. I came to us June 2022 and had to leave on December 2022. but as my I 130 and I 485 were pending, i stayed. now they denied and denial notice saying I have to leave the us in 30 days because I’m not staying legally anymore. the lawyer told me that I can reapply, but I have doubts because technically my period of staying on visa is expired. If I reapply within 30 days after denial, will it work? Could you please give me any advice?

@N A yes... no worries. You can reapply but this time make sure you complete all the request USCIS asked you on your previous case. Overstating is forgiven if you are a spouse of a US Citizen. if your spouse is not yet a Citizen, I recommend you to wait until he becomes a citizen. Goof luck

@BAYANO PARKER thank you! so I don’t need to provide any reason why I’m overstaying? and I don’t have to apply for forgiveness? just send everything like first time?
thanks you for your help , I really appreciate

@N A if your spouse is a US CITIZEN, you don't have to do that. But if your spouse is a Permanent Resident, you will have to apply for forgiveness first.
