USCIS update
so my wife called today and got through to someone about our case, they said that there is nothing we can do at this stage and we just have to wait even though we are technically outside of normal processing time ( 16 months ) we then got an email from congress stating there isn’t anything they can do to speed up the i130 process until it’s out of normal processing time which my wife sent evidence to prove it is and we are waiting a response. We currently aren’t in a financial position to hire a lawyer and file a mandumus so what else can we do? This is just to long, I honestly would’ve thought I’d be able to be with my wife, achieving goals and being happy but this is beyond a joke right now.

bendiciones.

Hoping you get approval soon. It has a lot to do with what is going on at the border. More than people realize or care to admit. But that is clearly coming to an end, finally.

@Leah Timmerman is it worth filing it this late into waiting i130 approval?
K IJan 23, 2025
did your case get transferred from Vermont? I believe half of them did. mine did and no notification only my lawyer was able to see that in his portal.

@K I no ours is still there which sucks because they are so slow

@Jacob Needham I am seeing that Potomac is slow too… I know you said you don’t want to hire a lawyer but maybe at least get a free consult. I hope you guys get approved soon. I’m right behind you
