USCIS status change back to old one
Why does a case status change back to the old one? I just completed my biometrics appt and a day later the status for I-485 changed to something like “fingerprints have been taken”, but when I checked it again a few days later the status has changed back to “fingerprint fee was received”. The brief new status I had doesn’t even show in the case history. Has anyone experienced this?

no cause for alarm mine didn't change until after 3weeks

Same thing with me. I did my fingerprint Monday. By Tuesday fingerprints have been taken was updated. Since yesterday I checked and I realized it gone back to the old fingerprint fee was received.

the same applies to me too. biometrics Tuesday, Wednesday status says fingerprints taken now when I check it says case was received

I think they are facing some Charlenges.

immigration is updating their computer systems. many people are getting various strange messages on their accounts and cases.
