USCIS RESPONSE TO CONGRESSMAN INQUIRY
Is this normal? I contacted my congressman to follow up on my application and here is the response from Uscis “Your case is processing normally. The earliest you can submit questions is December 01, 2024. Please do not contact us before this date. We will notify you if we need any additional information. We appreciate your patience while we review your case. Processing times may change – return to this page regularly for updates.” I filed 360 & 485 in February 2020, I wonder why they said I shouldn’t reach out until December 2024. Any one with such experience?

this happened to me , I am July 12 , 2020." your case within processing time" is rubbish , that date keeps moving forward. @F A , if you try to check the date in October don't be surprised it would have moved forward again. Weigh your options

@ALL, I made a mistake, I filed in 2021 not 2020. But then again if they say the processing time is 35months(that’s the current time on their website), feb2021 to Jan 2024 is 35months. just wondering why they said I shouldn’t contact them till Dec 2024

The actual processing time for all applicants isn't within 35months. It says 80 percent of cases are completed within 35months. So, 20 percent of cases are going to go further than 35months. That is why it gives a much longer timeline to raise inquiry if you haven't received a decision on ones case because, that case might fall under the 20 percent.
