USCIS Response For Expedite Request (F2A)
So few days ago I tried to expedite my pending I-485 since I know from my local FO staff that my case is ready and at the same time my mom send me her laboratory results. i tried to expedite based on humanitarian reason since both my parents are sick now. Long story short I just know my case now already at FO and no longer at NBC and the USCIS representative on the phone give me the ticket number. At the next day I got email from FO USCIS like this
The status of this service request is:
Due to workload factors not related to your application, USCIS anticipates a delay in completing your case. We anticipate the delay to be approximately 6 months from the date of this notice. We assure you that we are working to complete adjudication of your application as quickly as available resources allow. If you do not receive a decision or other notice of action from USCIS by that date, please reach out to the USCIS Contact Center for additional assistance.
I thought they only want me to stop contacting them and not really serious about the 6 months timeframe. Anyone has the same experience and lead to approval before the 6 months marks ?

@Lulla Ycr unfortunately you're not current based on visa bulletin. even they review your I-485 they won't be able to issue a gc. your I-485 will change to case remains pending. uscis will say if you need to travel to your country you can always use your AP.

@Mr MCC I hope so, I think they are not gonna reject me since the FO staff told me my case is ready and only need to wait till the visa bulletin is current

@Lulla Ycr you don't get my point either. if VB is not current for your date they don't approve your gc anyway even though they approve your expedite request. they'll review your I-485 and your status will change to "case remains pending", but a gc will not be produced. To get a gc your PD should be current in VB. I just wanted to tell don't keep your hopes high because VB is horrible for F2A filers.

@N F if the expedite is approve it’s gonna be based on humanitarian reason so no need to wait till the visa bulletin current again. The USCIS local office staff told me directly about it so you need to do more research imo
