USCIS policy update 🚨 EAD spouse visas
For those who missed it I’m sharing the update to USCIS policy published yesterday:
https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/document/policy-manual-updates/20211112-EmploymentAuthorization.pdf
In short, wonderful news for E- and L- spouses who no longer require an EAD to work! 🥲
there’s also legislation that enables H4 EAD auto extension for those who have a valid i94.
I hope this helps - I was so relieved to hear the news as I had been losing hope!

@mindis May if you have an E or L type visa that is a spouse visa, so L2 spouse or E2 spouse for example, (you’d know if you were on a spouse visa) where your wife/husband is the lead visa-applicant/sponsor

@mindis May. Both E and L visas may be used by companies to expand their business in the United States. However, there are dissimilarities between the types of companies that tend to apply for each visa. Generally, E visas are used by small businesses whereas L-1 visas are used by all types of businesses—large, medium, and small.
