USCIS keep messing up my interview location and keep sending me away.
My priorities date is August 2020.
i live in GA. i have been there since i started working with my employer in 2022, till date.
1st interview notice received 31 Jan 2024 in Albany, NY.
Lawyer and uscis not helpful. They kept on telling me to reschedule. USCIS kept on telling me its only gonna take 90-120 days. i rescheduled it.
It took 8 months to get 2nd interview notice. i received it for August 14, 2024. But again, they messed up. its now scheduled for Cranbury, NJ.
This time i was not gonna let it go. i complained to my lawyers and uscis. But, they dnt do shit.
This time USCIS and Lawyers both suggested me to go for the Interview in NJ, since there is nothing they coulnd do.
i visited NJ USCIS for interviews, but they sent me back yesterday. they said i should not have been scheduled to NJ location since i Live in GA. They said, they dnt have my file with them to take my interview. They sent me away with big "SORRY" for the trouble.
I am frustrated with USCIS treatment to my case.
i lost money, time, and my effort travelling.Also did my medical, and others.
Who should i complaint to?
who will give my refund?
how much longer should i wait for this gotdam interview?
I just wanna give up and go back to my country. 4 years of wait, and still not certain for my case. They keep messing up with my case.

you have GA ID? and you lived in NY before moving?

yes i have GA ID. i lived in NJ before i moved to GA.

Ombudsman is where you can try. last option is lawsuit that you can file on your own with some study to save money. Unfortunately, some cases get stuck so bad, but stay positive to stay healthy.

i think ill file for lawsuit once my GC get approved for mishandling my case and wasting time, money, and effort.

Unfortunately this seems quite common. They have no accountability. Doubt a lawsuit will do anything. But sorry that happened to you, hopefully they sort it out soon.

@k R He mentioned he did. I have seen many cases where USCIS set up interview near the old address/state despite people already updating their address. But they've always been able to attend the interview though, this is the first time I'm hearing they were returned.

i always ask them, what is my address on uscis portal. They tell me its the same, which is my current address. they are always sorry for what happen. nothing now.

if your Priority date is August 2020, find a good lawyer and sue USCIS. Simple.

@Sajan Maharjan I’m sorry it happened to you. It happened to me as well. My PD is 08/06/20. I moved from Florida to Arizona to work for the sponsor in June 2022. In August I received the first letter for the interview in Orlando. I called USCIS asking to reschedule it and in September my case got updated to “interview has been reschedule”. I received the second letter in November and got interviewed in December. Keep faith, call USCIS every week asking them to reschedule your interview in GA.

today, i visited USCIS in GA who had my files. i requested to see the supervisor, had to wait 1 hr just to meet him.
The office that i met was very apologetic and keep on telling me it was wrong what happen to my case.
The guys even mentioned that they have my correct address in all my file. But he himself dnt know how it is getting messed up. He even mentioned that the file is in the building, but was not able to find it.
Waited 3 hours in the empty interview waiting area. Then he comes back and says, he could not find my file. Then sent me home.
He mentioned to create another interview notice with next available date.
Its just getting more messy.
I told them, i am come in again next week, if they dnt call me back with my files update.
