USCIS case history says EAD delivered but USPS never received it
According to my case history , EAD was delivered on November 9th with tracking but I never received it . I actually received my approval notice on Nov 8th and am still waiting for EAD Card . The USCIS website says my case is closed . I have sent a message and started an enquiry using the services on the website . Not sure what to do next - wait for EAD card or apply for a replacement EAD card . My start date is Jan 19th , 2022.

hello Priyamvada, try to call USCIS first thing in the morning (8am ET). Say "infopass" or "expedite request" . those are the 2 keys that I know of that would unlock the computer and transfer you to a person to speak to. once you do, explain the situation. don't forget to mention your starting date.

if you filed with an attorney, make sure they didn’t receive it.
you can also call USPS & see if they call tell you where they dropped it off.

gab - the tracking number shows the address where it was dropped, or at least was supposed to be sent to.

Not all the time, usually they just give you the zip code or city it’s being delivered to. even for USCIS packages. So it could’ve been dropped off at a neighboring home in the same city.

gab - oh wow. then that opens the way for a lot of mistakes including lost packages. 😱

yes, that’s why i always recommend informed delivery so you know what’s coming to your house the day before it gets there. since tracking numbers don’t always provide exact addresses. USPS could investigate where it could’ve been dropped off, or she could contact Uscis about it being lost in the mail.

thank you so much for that information, gab. I definitely was not aware of this happening with USPS as every tracking number that I've ever received whether from USCIS or any place always had my correct address.
I do hope that Priyamvada can get answers and possibly new documents sent to her. these are not documents we want to lose. 😕
