You filed I-130 back in July? What was the status between July and November?
Fekadu S. shDec 19, 2021
@boss lady first make sure the service center is still Nebraska. Because I think it might be changed. I also applied i-130 for both my parents online on June 03, 2021 and the receipt notice said it was in Nebraska, but when I chat with a "Live agent" on USCIS website a few months back I was told my mom's case is "being actively reviewed" in Potomac Service center since Oct 04, 2021 and my Dad's case is "being actively reviewed" in California service center since June 21, 2021. It is Mostly mysterious how USCIS works, because they just jump around between cases, but if you know the service center you might look their processing times.

@m liu nothing, just that they receive my i130 and receipt number was sent.

@anonymous me i recently had chat with live agent and she said it is still Nebraska
Fekadu S. shDec 19, 2021
@boss lady I think that is a good thing. Nebraska service center has a very short processing time compared to others, but as I said before they work mysteriously, they jump around between cases like a "random key generator". I Hope you'll here some good news soon. In the mean time please check your service center in 2 -3 weeks interval, as I was told by the live agent.

i had chat with live agent to ask if my parents service center is still Nebraska. she said it is, when i asked about how long will it take for approval she said 9 more months, i am heart broken.. 9 more months just to approve i130,
Fekadu S. shDec 20, 2021
@boss lady I think they're just giving you their rough estimate to make you frustrated and leave them alone for a while. I know two people who filed i-130 for their parents on February and April this year at Nebraska SC and got approved in 6 and 8 months respectively. I know it hurts but we don't have to lose hope.
M LiuDec 21, 2021
They just try to give you an upper bound so that you don’t bother them any more in the next 9 months. It’s likely the case will be approved sooner

@anonymous me @M liu i hope she was just trying to frustrate me so that i won't contact them.. i keep on checking the status 5-7 times a day in a hope tgat it wiuld change. btw what time they usually update the case status is it in the morning or afternoon?
