not all 2021 are been approved thought but they are been attended to more swiftly than any prior years…reason is because of the Biden administration that generally expedited all applications from during the start of his presidency (January) till date.

I call them today and tell them I really need and answer so they said a officer will call me within 72 hours so am waiting

I think a lot of has to do with processing centers. For example if you apply for citizenship in NY or Cali… there are way more people and waaayyyy more immigrants than say Ohio or something so obviously the Ohio case will be processed much faster and get a faster interview. Also, how well are the 2 packages prepared? Is it a second marriage or third marriage? Some people seem to be sponsoring a new spouse every 5 years lol a big age difference? maybe there is a language barrier? There are also cases when people apply and have children/lots of joint assets etc so those cases are Easier than others I guess? sometimes the American spouse goes abroad to live with foreign partner and they apply after so they gather more proof of their relationship? hold tight, it will come

Val your case it was bad luck for sure (I read ur post about ur partner being arrested days before your interview) it wasn’t uscis delaying your interview in the intial instance, they obviously need you both there and the petitioner couldn’t be so it got delayed plus covid hit causing more delays so in your case it’s bad luck but I see A LOT of 2020 being approved. Every case is different I guess but have faith you’ll be ok. Don’t compare ur case to others, who knows what proof they sent.

waiting @ i did 3 times inquiries and last one said it is still under background check !!

Wow! what is this background check thing? I thought they run your bio and do the check? doesn’t it take a few weeks for the fbi to respond? I keep seeing people saying their case is hold for background check even tho they did the bio a year ago? do some cases get a deeper background check or something depending of country? i have noticed one important thing with biometrics… I see it says ‘bio taken’ after ‘case received’ but not always ‘bio applied’. Maybe should call uscis and ask them what the background process entails and do the check yourself.

i just contacted congressman and waiting and see what’s going on

My April 2020 case got approved about 10 days ago. I hadn’t heard anything since fingerprints. Hopefully they’re getting there with everyone who has been waiting long
