I became a usc this year in March maybe that’s why it’s taking so long
Nina pioraJul 19, 2021
@ Glory Grace I don’t think so it work thia way! mine was feb 2020 and my inquiry date was last week but potomac doesn’t approve yet ☹️

same here I become a UCS, this year April, I send them the evidence., they update my case., so I send a inquired that my case it’s out of processing time., they answer me, telling me that my case is online waiting for a officer to be review., but my question here is how long it will take the officer to review my case., because is already online…!!! another thing my case was first at California after I beconme usc they transfer my case, yo Potomac!! this is really crazy!!
Rafael GalvanJul 20, 2021
when you became a citizen, did you tell the person at your interview that you had a pending lpr for your spouse? so they can update it and move it to the faster category? I would file an inquiry and notify them that you are now a citizen.
J
J AJul 20, 2021
you have to call USCIS, and tell them, and way for a email asking you to update your us certificate, and then way for a month in order for them to update your case…, but that’s doesn’t really work because they transferred my case., my Pd is Dec 13,2019 and I’m still waiting for approval!!
Nina pioraJul 20, 2021
@deedee prosper. I married to us citizen and applied on feb 2020 but still there is nothing! they are so unfair that after these all hard times that we had( stucking there for pandemic) they do not want to make it sooner for us… they are really dont care! some case from oct 2020 they got approved on the spot
J
J AJul 20, 2021
yeah you’re right @Nina I’m waiting since Dec, 2019 and nothing yet., and plus I beconme a us citizen and that’s not even working for me…, and I’m seeing a los of cases file this., year and get approve right away., that’s really unfair!!
Nina pioraJul 20, 2021
I’m totally agree with u…. sometimes when i see some cases approved less than a year,i can feel the tears in my eyes ! i totally happy for everyone that could pass this tough situation though, I mean why we have to wait that long some case no! I think they dont have any priorities
J
J AJul 20, 2021
you’re right., same here I fell happy for everyone who get approved but it really hurt., because I’m being waiting almos 2 year and nothing yet.!!! but hopefully we hear some good news soon!! cause this is really hurting us inside!!
Nina pioraJul 20, 2021
yeh it is totally nerves racking! i hope u will hear good news befor than me! you have been waiting for a long time that im really sorry:(
J
J AJul 20, 2021
yes, it’s a long waiting for me and nothing yet., even tho I become a us citizen that haven’t help me…, I made a inquires with them, and they answered me that my case it waiting for a officer to be review but I’m not sure., if it really work.!!! I’m really tired of all of this waiting!! and nothing!!
Nina pioraJul 20, 2021
yes mine said case is pending adjudication which it means the officer didn’t make a description yet! the funniest part is the officer at the interview mentioned third time that he will approve our case and i will get my gc in 2 weeks in hand! a week ago I chatted with uscis representative and she said the officer doesn’t have that much power to do it on the spot, but i can see here every day that they do it
J
J AJul 20, 2021
I’m telling you!! my case said the same pending adjudication and waiting for a officer to be review, and nothing yet., and this is only the first part., because after this they have to send the case to the NVC and that’s another wait of time!!! and hopefully you get your green card soon 🙏🏼🙏🏼
Rafael GalvanJul 20, 2021
for nina , JA and DeeDee, in the past when a citizen filed for a spouse they did not have to wait for a visa. and they moved pretty fast but there are less and less applicant who are residents applying for a spouse so the cases are current (depending on the country the spouse is in), changing the cases from a resident filing for a spouse to a citizen filing for a spouse is supposed to make your case go faster, and in some cases it still does while in other cases it will take longer when the case converts due to the resident category being current. given that when you become a citizen at the citizen interview you were supposed to tell the officer who interviewed you that you had a case pending. not doing this at the interviews slows the process of converting the case. and your spouse can't adjust status (become a resident)as the spouse of a resident is he or she is now married to a citizen, he or she will be adjusting as a spouse of a citizen.
Nina pioraJul 20, 2021
my case is just simple! i was opt and living in us married to love of mu life who was us citizen and and chenge of status! I don’t think that much complicated case that they can not handle it!
Nina pioraJul 20, 2021
i got ur point that what u said
J
J AJul 20, 2021
true, but it’s not like that., like when people do interview your supposed to tell them that., you have a case there., you have to wait until you get your certificate and then, call them and do the process., cause I did asked the person who interview me and that’s what she told me…, and then I send the certificate throug they page and they update it, in one month!!! anyhow, it still taking so long for me., but I guess I have to way that’s all, what can we do, nothing!!! way!
Rafael GalvanJul 20, 2021
nina, they can handle every case, that is their job, but they have lots of cases, and certain cases take priority over others, so just be patient. people like things done now. but it does not work that way. I know people who waited 24 years to become a resident and know people who are still waiting after 6 years who still need to wait 17 more. immigrating is like dealing with god, you put in your request and you may get a response right away and it may take a long time and sometimes you die before your prayers are answered. sucks but that is the way it is. I suggest you stay on top of your request and be patient.
Nina pioraJul 20, 2021
at least they have to go by priority and see how has been waiting for a long time ! one of that i know applied last September and got approved on the spot a month before me! everything was the same as me … im not getting that part! i can wait, I have to actually , but this is not fair to keep people on the dark side and just says wait and wait for unknown period of time! my ead expired and still no new one! dealing with this kind of stress is to much! but anyways for your message! i now what u are saying :)

Hi all, I have filed I-130 for my wife and kids. and on my USCIS account under "case status" tab it says: "It is being processed at our Nebraska Service Center location." However, at the end of on notice letter it says "Potomac service center". Which one should I rely on? Does anyone have the same experience?
