@Whiting Cheryl @reehan ali @adi hough . My mom was diagnosed with breast cancer. She currently lives in Cuba. I collected all the doctor’s papers I could and translated them using immi translate. I Also wrote a letter explaining the situation in Cuba ( no medications ,hospitals have no conditions for surgeries etc . I uploaded all the documents as additional evidence (originals in foreign language and translations) with the letter and call USCIS and request to expedite the case(Make sure you upload all the doc before calling. When you call USCIS the representative is going to give you some options why you would like to expedite the case . In this case was for humanitarian reasons. What they going to do is to send the expedite request to the officer working on your case. After that in about five days I received an email saying that my expedite request was accepted and 3 days after I received the approval. I know that calling to USCIS it’s hail. So here is the trick. Once the automatic system says “ I can understand complete sentences so tell me how can I help you “ you will say the word “ infopass” and just wait for a representative . This is the number I used 800-375-5283. I hope this help you all

@Whiting Cheryl .Thank you so much and Yes I uploaded the documents through my USCIS online account. Lmk if you have any other question. I’m not a lawyer and I never used one to do the filing. I called USCIS and they told me to collect all the documents from the doctor and upload them. Then gave them a call. I wish a speedy recovery for your wife as well.

@Liu Valdes Thank you. I did call them today to escalate my case, but I haven’t received any reference number yet. Is that normal?

@Whiting Cheryl They never gave me a confirmation number when I requested to expedite the case. The representative told me that I should hear back from them within 10 days but I heard back in less than a week.First they going to let you know if the expedited request was approved or not.If yes in a few days you will get the approval of the case. @luis Rodríguez I only uploaded them with the translation and a letter wrote by me resquesting to expedite the process and explaining why .
