UPLOADED CERTIFIED TRANSCRIPT INSTEAD OF MAIL.
Hi Everyone, I need help. I received rfe to submit evidence to establish school enrollment and attendance. they asked for certified transcript issued by school, copies of tuition payments, class schedules and course syllabi…. problem is I obtained certified digital copy from the registrars office and uploaded alongside the other documents requested. I just read that when USCIS for certified copy, you must submit it by mail. Now I have uploaded all these and my response have been received. could this lead to denial? what’s my risk? Should I still send the transcript physically to USCIS though this is frowned upon per the letter that say I should only submit via online or mail and not both. please what are your thoughts. Lawyers please.

where did you read certified copies must be mailed? if the letter did not say it has to be mailed, then there should be no issue uploading it. It is shocking they are asking you for proof of enrollment and transcripts.

@Mrs Mrs Thank you. They mentioned it as part of the general guidelines for uploading evidence in the letter

@Vin Thom Mail the certified original document to them. you can include a cover letter explaining the situation why you are also mailing it if you want. Shouldn’t be a big issue to them.

it shouldn’t be a problem, you will be approved. Did you apply I-485 as a PhD student?

@Vin Thom Is your transcript and enrollment verification from all schools you attended here in the U.S. or just for your PhD? I also applied as a PhD student but I haven’t heard back from them.

@Kobbs G Yes, here in the US. I don’t think it’s necessary. Not sure why this officer is requesting for it. she typically said in addition, I should submit anything that would prove that I enrolled and attended classes physically.

@Vin Thom It shouldn’t if you explain why you are sending it through mail also. include a cover letter explaining the situation if you want. This is your shot to make sure the officer gets what he/she wants so don’t be afraid. Reach out to a lawyer if you want guidance. I know some who mailed and uploaded their RFE documents and weren’t penalized for that. seek legal counsel if you want to get an expert advice
